It is indeed - it's an absolute monster though! The hail storm wrecked all the leaves that were out a couple of weeks ago, but it's put out two fresh ones since, so is clearly recovering well! I like to look at the babies being sold by the exotic nurseries at RHS shows and remembering how tiny this one used to be.
I'm a full-time lecturer in biology and a part-time PhD student in vertebrate palaeontology. I combined the two passions in a container garden containing largely plants that existed in the Mesozoic era. This is that garden's story.

We had a hail storm hit the garden mid July a few years back which totally defoliated everything leafy :(
At least with a Rex it will grow fast!
