Had to get out of the office for a bit yesterday lunchtime, so I went for a stroll in Green Park.

Despite being lunch hour in the middle of Mayfair, it's still possible to get away from people, and indeed forget that you're in London.

Of course I hardly recognise any of the trees (pfft, angiosperms...). But they look pretty. I'd hazard a guess at Prunus for this one, but really I could do with a good old fashioned botany walk to get me back up to speed on trees in particular.

One tree, however, is unmistakable, and I'm willing to bet most of you can identify it by its bark alone, so this is all I'm going to give you:
Oh alright then - one clue. It's the same species that was named London's most expensive tree this week...
